ARTIST TOWN YOKOHAMA was born as a base to send out high-tech
imformation, so that it may complete back up any creative
activities of artists and creators there. It will be an ultimate
'Street Corner of Art' where you can communicate with all the
international users on a real time basis, through presentation of
your works or your messages.
ARTIST TOWN YOKOHAMA is a virtual city space, with which general
functions are fully provided that can dispatch any information
on culture; they include, among others, the HOME PAGE AREA
(ARTIST TOWN), to be followed by the MEDIA TOWN(NEWSPAPERS,
MAGAZINES, RECORDS, BROADCASTING STATIONS, etc.), the CONSULTING
AREA and the like.
Any messages of artists are introduced, from time to time, through
the worldwide retrieval system. At the same time, your publicity
in the ARTIST TOWN (newspapers, magazines, etc.) may realize

In order to satisfy strong wishes of all the parties concerned,
we, MCS, INC., the core of the Garden City, have launched into
a service provider (INTERNET GARDEN CITY) since December 10, 1995.
Simultaneously, we also started the contents service as well as
the operation of servers for corporate users.
To start with, the first access point (AP) was set up in Yokohama,
which will be followed by that in Kawasaki & Machida,Sagamihara(Its opening in February
`96 has been decided.) Other scheduled AP's are that in Tokyo,
, Atsugi, Shonan, etc. which
may cover the whole area of Kanagawa prefecture.
You have only to pay the annual fee of üÅ30,000, by which you can
receive any of our extensive services, including the support for
your initial settings to enter the Internet that are often said
rather troublesome. In addition, you may move in the network

INFORMATION; NO. 2ü`Jazz Festival
It is finally decided that a jazz festival will take place in the
coming spring, sponsored by the YOKOHAMA GARDEN CITY. This event
is to be led by Mr. Kozo Suganuma (ds), the well-known 'King of
Many Hands' and Mr. Kazumi Watanabe (g), born in Japan and
brought up in the world. It is a most, not only for jazz fans, but
also for all the music lovers. We believe that everybody should be
astonished undoubtedly.
